JAH is one of the leading numismatic auction houses in the country, specializing in buying and selling coins, medals, banknotes, tokens, and other numismatic materials.
Our patrons can offer their numismatic items for sale either through private treaty transactions or by including them in our auctions. We provide comprehensive valuation services, from informal assessments of individual coins to professional evaluations of extensive private and institutional collections.
If you wish to have your materials evaluated, please contact us. Upon an initial agreement, we will provide instructions on how to send your items, either in person or via registered post. For high-value materials, our team may visit to examine the collection in person.
Numismatic materials are assessed based on factors such as condition, rarity, collector demand, and current market trends. After evaluation, we will provide you with an estimate.
If you accept our estimate, we will consign your materials and issue you a receipt. Please keep this receipt securely. Your items will then be included in one of our upcoming auctions.
Once the auction catalogue is prepared, we will provide you with a copy, highlighting the lot numbers containing your materials.
After the auction, we will notify you of the results, including which of your materials were sold. You may collect the invoice from our office or request it to be sent to your postal address within one week of the sale, subject to the Conditions of Sale as outlined in the catalogue.
Each sold lot is subject to a seller's commission and applicable government levies, such as GST.
Unless otherwise agreed upon before the auction, payments will be made 30 days after the auction's conclusion, subject to the Conditions of Sale mentioned in the catalogue.
