Guptas, Samudragupta (c. 335-380 AD), Gold Dinar, 7.68Grms, ‘Lyrist’ type, OBV: King seated on a high-backed throne, playing a veena (lute) with seven strings which is carrying on his lap, his left hand keeping the instrument in position and right hand manipulating strings of the instrument, king’s left leg hanging down while his right leg is folded on the conch and the toe of his right foot is touching the foot stool, Brahmi letter ’Si’ on footstool for siddham, around Brahmi legend ‘[Maharajadiraja sri Sa]mudraguptah’, REV: Goddess Lakshmi nimbate, seated left on a wicker stool, holding a diadem fillet in her right hand and a cornucopia in the left hand, tamgha on left field Brahmi legend ‘Samudraguptah’ in right margin. Gupta Empire - gold dinar of Kumara Gupta (c. 415-450 AD), 'Lion slayer' type, Altekar Class I (lion-combatant), var. C, 8.14g. Obv: king, bare bodied and wearing a waistcloth with a band, standing in a frontal posture with one leg flexed at the knee, striking at a lion with bow with its string pulled to the king's ear; Brahmi legend Kumaragupto Yudhi Simha... along the margin from 7 o'clock. Rev: goddess, seated in a Lalitasana posture (with one leg folded and the other hanging down) on the back of a couchant lion, facing right. Kakatiyas of Warrangal, Prola-I (1052-1076 CE), Gold PMC, 9.99 gms , 4 -Warrior Type, 2 ½ Gold Gadyana. The broadest known Indian Hindu coin with total of 35 repousse punches on the obverse of a circular flan. Unpublished variety.Extra fine+, Exceedingly rare. The central punch consists of the images of Ram-Laxman-Bharat-Shatrughan in warrior pose. The other punches are struck in two concentric circular orbits. The inner orbit consists of 18 singly struck 8 petalled lotus punches as in a garland. The outer orbit punches consist of 2x Sri-Sri, 1x'Ahitagaja'and 1x'Kesari'in Kannada, and 4 groups of Boar-Lotus-Boar symbols interleaving the legend punches. The above coin is from a small hoard that had a mix of Nolamba, Ganga, and Kakatiya coins. The hoard is believed to be of the mint that changed hands of the Nolambas, Kakatiyas and the Gangas dynasties. 'Ahitagaja Kesari' is one of the common titles of the Kakatiyas adorned by many of the rulers of the dynasty starting from Prola-I. The coin fabric suggests that the coin is of period of transition between the Nolambas and the Kakatiyas. The above coin hence is assigned to Prola-I (1052-1076 CE).

Kakatiyas of Warrangal, possibly the period of Prola I (1052-1076 CE), uniface gold PMC with 23 repousse punches, Two-and-half gold gadyana denomination, 9.42 gms, Obv: 1x central punch consisting of Rama-Lakshman standing facing front carrying a club in their right arms. 8x inner circle of punches surrounding the central punch consists of 2x Sri in Kannada, 1x Lenka in Kannada, 1x Koma in Kannada and then 4x Boar, the Kakatiya insignia as seen in the image. 14x peripheral circumfluent punches consisting of 7 petalled Lotus and 7 Lion facing left in sequence.Unpublished variety, Extremely fine, Exceedingly rare. Lenka Koma means the Feudatory chief or the commander of the army. The Kakatiyas ermerged as independent ruler in the late 12th century CE and prior to it, they were the feudatories of the Chalukyas of Kalyana. The above coin is perhaps an issue of Prola-I who might have enjoyed an important status under the Chalukyas of Kalyana and was perhaps allowed to issue his own coins.

Note: This specific type, showcasing a blend of Kushan and Gupta stylistic numismatic iconography, is often referred to as an usurper issue. The presence of ad hoc mints, distinct from the regular sites used by other rulers, and the use of Brahmi legends such as "Samudra," led Gobl to propose that a field commander may have struck these coins on behalf of Samudragupta. This likely occurred in a region not yet assimilated into the Gupta realm, where Kushan dinars were widely accepted as the standard currency. However, S. Kumar offers a simpler explanation, attributing the coins to the Rajadanda-Scepter type. This is supported by the King's attire resembling a tribal appearance and the presence of a Fire-Altar on these coins. As per TOTGE below 30pcs of Such Rajadanda Type Are Known
